Process: My final project is a magazine spread, meant to be a visual walk-through of Riz Ahmed’s 2017 speech to the House of Commons. I picked this speech because I thought that Ahmed did a great job of dissecting why a lack of diversity in British Media is problematic, and highlighting the importance of increasing representation. The project aims to use analysis to expand upon the speech, display its impacts, highlight its most important points, and connect segments of the speech to different media presented in the class.
